Wendy Roberts is a Textile Artist who employs the use of traditional hand stitch, utilising it in a style that is both expressive and playful.

"My love of hand stitch began during my time at art college. One of my many influences came from embroidery artist, Constance Howard, who nurtured the idea of embroidery as an art form and vehicle for artistic art expression".

Wendy holds the idea that through the use of art materials, we can give voice to an inner world with the symbolic language of art. Wendy has in the past worked with cancer patients in a day hospice setting and currently works in a nursing home environment were the importance of exploring challenges such as Alzheimer's, Dementia and Parkinson's disease have become prevalent in her practice.

Wendy studied BA (Hons) Fine/Applied Art, Textiles, at University of Ulster, Belfast, graduating in 2006, followed by, MSc Art Psychotherapy, Belfast, Centre for Psychotherapy, Belfast/University of East London, graduating in 2010.
