Dwyer Mc Kerr is a painter/draughtsman from Lurgan. He worked in a stained glass studio for ten years as an artist specialising in sand etched glass.

In 2004 he began to study at the University of Ulster and graduated with a first class honours degree in fine and applied art in 2007.

His work is  predominantly based on a strong graphical tradition and explores the tension between technical precision and the unpredictable fluidity of  ink and water based painting disciplines.

He joined the North Armagh Artists Collective shortly after it was established in 2010 and was chairperson of the group from 2012 until 2017. He has exhibited with the group and had his first solo show in 2014.

When not working on his own projects he tutors and facilitates classes and workshops regularly.
